What the heck is it?

Imagine Nethack and Geometry Wars got together and got all snuggly and had a bastardized love child.  Blood Soaked Deadly Dungeons of Doom! is an action game where you  control a wizard exploring procedurally generated dungeon labyrinth collecting treasure and power-ups to spend at the store.  As you go deeper into the labyrinth the challenges get harder and harder but the rewards become greater and greater.

Where can you get it?

Well, the last functional Alpha release can be downloaded from here.  Standard disclaimers apply.. totally use at your own risk, you won’t sue me if it melts your computer, possesses your dog,eats all the cereal or causes the TV to only show Lifetime movies. (or any other types of disaster)  However I’d sure like to know if it breaks and how you managed to do it.  At this point it’s a year+ out of date.  The graphics engine is in the process of getting an upgrade.  The room editor is done and is a web accessible website, you can see it an mess with it here: http://editor.irismel.com/

When is it gonna be done?

Well for now.. it ran into some technical hurdles. Namely Torque 2D..

The world generator is still online and the assets still exist and I’d love to go back and finish it / rebuild it some day soon.
