Minor but important progress. Holidays (and Skyrim) were not as conductive as hoped to progress.
Map entities (monsters and PCs) now scan for the nearest visible targets within their field of view and as within LOS on the level map.
Monsters now have a new behavior available on spawn which is to start stalking a Random PC.
The goal is to have several behaviors available for monsters to utilize what cna be mix and matched during levels.. (patrolling.. random walking, waiting,) and then have events and triggers switch them out asin-game events etc..
Next up.. either monster spawners or starting the prep work for combat mechanisms.
Well it turned into 2 days of productive (freelance work and 6 sheep done, not bad) 1 day of errands and chores, a day of packing an dinner with the parentals for doggie sitting and then I was off to see GFW, Parkzilla and Baby J at the other grandparent’s for the weekend. So yeah.. not so productive.
However, let’s not dwell since it was an awesome relaxing de-wired weekend and thus worth it.
So since then.. Freelance stuff picked up speed and culminated in a long work full weekend this weekend, but I’m almost caught up 🙂
But (and this is the exciting bits!) I’ve fallen in love with Oil Paints (the water soluble oils, for the ease of cleanup and fumes) So below are some pic of the second piece in progress, and I have plans to do a collaborative piece with GFW, which should be interesting.
So the theory is, I want to be working on around 3 pieces at a time,
However now it’s full steam ahead! GFW is moving in next week and tons to do around the house before then.
Playing a bit of the Sims 3 and it’s very good and a radioactive black vortex that you can easily dump seemingly endless amounts of time into.
Then as soon as live gets settled and the summer excercise routine gets picked up again (ate too much on vacation and now I have a bad case of Bahamian Guilt) then I’m itching to spend some time wrapping up the monster painting that’s been hanging unfinished in the kitchen for 5 months now.
